First steps after ordering hosting
What to do as soon as your login details arrive.

Once your payment is credited, your cPanel login details arrive by e-mail. This guide walks you through the first day.
1. Sign in to the customer portal
The portal at portal.hostzone.eu is where you find your services, invoices and tickets. Your cPanel access sits with the service itself.
2. Point your domain at the hosting
If you ordered the domain along with the hosting, it is already pointed. If it is registered elsewhere, change its nameservers or its A record following Pointing a domain at your hosting.
The change spreads across the internet gradually, usually within a few hours.
3. Upload your site, or have your old one moved
Upload files through File Manager in cPanel or over FTP. If you are moving a site from another provider, we will migrate it for you free of charge - write to support@hostzone.eu and tell us what is moving and from where.
4. Check SSL
The certificate comes with the hosting and is issued automatically once the domain points at our server. To confirm HTTPS really works, see Activating SSL and forcing HTTPS.
5. Create your mailboxes
In cPanel, under Email Accounts. The steps, and the settings for your mail client, are in Creating a mailbox.
